Sabah rancak membangun

Sabah has been allocated RM4.416 billion under the Second Rolling Plan (of the 10th Malaysia Plan) to carry out 724 projects.

drako drakonius said...

And as of May 3 this year, a sum of RM692 million or 15.6 per cent of the allocation for 2012 had been spent on development projects.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman made the disclosure after chairing the State Action Committee meeting.

drako drakonius said...

Musa said he had reminded every ministry and related departments to ensure all government initiatives were made known to the people, especially projects that would benefit the target groups.

drako drakonius said...

Musa also said members of the committee were also told yesterday that what mattered most was the people’s satisfaction towards the initiatives undertaken by the government in terms of services, wealth creation and effectiveness in resolving problems.

drako drakonius said...

The civil servants too play a crutial role in state development: the Chief Minister urged members of the civil service to ensure the projects listed under the Second Rolling Plan achieved their objectives.

Meanwhile, Musa urged Sabahans who had gone to the peninsula to look for jobs to return to Sabah. He said there were currently some 20,000 job available in the State.

Those who have experience working in the hotel and service industry should come back as a lot of hotels and resorts are being built throughout the State.

Planning and policy-makers should be ‘people oriented’ to create a community-friendly environment by providing access facilities based on a standard that is universally acceptable.

drako drakonius said...

Minister of Community Development and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun said, accessibility is not just going in and out of buildings, but cover all other aspects such as the road system and public transport facilities.

drako drakonius said...

She believes that if all the basic facilities for the disabled are given attention, there would be more people with disabilities (OKU) being able to contribute to the economic development and the government would not need to spend a lot of money just by giving aid.

drako drakonius said...

The government takes serious care and concern for the disabled with the introduction of the Disabled Persons Act 2008. Under the Act, the disabled has the right to access and use the facilities, amenities, services and public buildings.

drako drakonius said...

Therefore, the government or the provider of any facility, amenity, service and public buildings must give appropriate consideration and take the necessary steps to conform to the universally acceptable design in order to facilitate access for the disabled.

Najib Tun Razak said the people are now beginning to enjoy the benefits from the transformation programmes carried out by the Barisan Nasional government in the past three years.

drako drakonius said...

The Prime Minister said the promises made by the BN government in developing the country and helping the people had been fulfilled through the various programmes implemented during the period.

drako drakonius said...

Within the last three years alone, people are saying real change is taking place. Just imagine if we have another five years, certainly we can make more changes, thus believe in our promises, promises which are fulfilled.

drako drakonius said...

Najib said all efforts could be implemented through the idea and implementation capability of the BN government which had been proven all this while.

drako drakonius said...

He said the implementation of programmes including the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M), 1Malaysia Public Housing (PR1MA), 1Malaysia Clinic and the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) and Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) proved that the government had succeeded in implementing all that it had planned.

drako drakonius said...

We must have the intellectual capacity to think of new ideas because in the 21st century, anyone with better ideas will get the support of the people, so we have ideas to help the rakyat. Not only did we implement BR1M, PR1MA, we also have the idea so that in the centre of this town we also implement urban transformation.

drako drakonius said...

On the other hand, Najib said the opposition made many promises that they could not fulfil to the extent that the people in the states ruled by them were facing difficulties.

drako drakonius said...

Meanwhile, Najib said the government planned to implement PR1MA in the state of Melaka that would enable the people in the state to buy houses at prices that were 20 to 30 per cent cheaper than the market price.

drako drakonius said...

On that note, we cannot accept people who make promises but don't fulfil them, people who lie. A government must fulfil our promises.
