Umno Sabah tiada krisis

Datuk Musa Aman said the component parties are all united and working well together. There doesn't seem to be much crisis internally. Hope that they will continue to do their best for the state and people.

Datuk Musa Aman also said that his doors are wide open if there are any Barisan Nasional leaders who have problems that needs to be discussed with him.

Mumbai said...

Sabah Umno upholds the spirit of cooperation and unity among Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties and as such it has never been a traitor to other BN members in any elections.

DorianG said...

Chief Minister, Datu Seri Musa Haji Aman said this at the launching of the Kota Kinabalu Umno Division Delegates’ meeting held at the Community Centre, here.

DorianG said...

According to him, Sabah Umno is more concerned in ensuring that all BN candidates achieve victory in the constituencies they are contesting, hence the need for all to work together as a team regardless of which component party the candidate is from.

DorianG said...

As an example, he cited the Kota Kinabalu Umno Division, which has only its supporting role to play in the three state seats under the Kota Kinabalu Parliamentary, namely Likas, Luyang and Api-Api in the general election.

DorianG said...

Therefore, he advised the division to carry out its traditional role in helping and ensuring the victories of the BN candidates in the three state seats in this coming election.

DorianG said...

“The preparation for the 13th General Election is an ongoing process and Sabah Umno does not work just because the election is around the corner… Umno have been working all this while, going down to the ground to find out the problems facing the people,” he said.

DorianG said...

“Umno is continuing to strengthen the party machinery in order to meet the expectations of the coming election,” he said, adding that the state BN is ready to face the general polls at any given time.

DorianG said...

On this aspect, Musa, who is also the Head of the Sabah Umno Liaison body, urged all Umno branches and divisions to continue to strengthen Umno as it is the backbone of Sabah BN.

DorianG said...

“Do not be afraid or demoralised by the opposition’s antics as these opposition leaders have nothing new to offer to the people… so they made all sorts of promises which they are not able to fulfill.

DorianG said...

“They are just like medicine sellers who are simply out to sell their medicines that do not bring benefits to the people, but instead could be very harmful,” he reiterated.

DorianG said...

Musa also called upon Sabah Umno and Sabah BN to revive the spirit of the last two general elections, 2004 and 2008 where they did extremely well, almost a clean sweep of the State and Parliamentary seats.

DorianG said...

In 2004, Sabah BN won 24 out of the 25 Parliamentary seats and 59 of the 60 state seats. Similarly in 2008, Sabah BN led by Musa, again repeated the results by the same winning margins.

DorianG said...

“What is more important now is to not be complacent and what we want is total teamwork coordination, undivided commitment and cooperation between all BN parties for us to repeat that feat again,” stressed Musa.

DorianG said...

“We have been working harder to be a people-centric government which has and will continue to bring comprehensive and holistic development that benefits all segments of society,” he said.

DorianG said...

BN, he remarked, has set the stage for the people – conducive investment climate, peaceful country with political stability – therefore we must protect and defend at all cost what we have now for the sake of our future generations.

DorianG said...

I have always reminded the people of the good track record of BN and what the government has done and is doing, especially under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who have been caring and generous to Sabah, judging by the huge allocations channelled to the state for our socioeconomic development, he said.

DorianG said...

The people will be the judge of what the BN government has achieved. Hence, we are ready to leave it to the wisdom of the people to decide the outcome of the 13th general election.

DorianG said...

Meanwhile, Kota Kinabalu Umno Division Chief, Datuk Haji Faisyal Datuk YH Diego has reiterated his division’s call for the setting up of a BN disciplinary bureau.

DorianG said...

“The disciplinary bureau could act against members of BN component parties who are undermining the position and chances of BN candidates from winning their seats,” he stated.

DorianG said...

“This is necessary to prevent saboteurs within BN component parties from doing things detrimental or against the interests of BN in the coming polls. We need to be firm and ensure that all members of BN component parties uphold the principle of cooperation and unity among BN members,” he stressed.

DorianG said...

Barisan Nasional must ensure that all ‘winnable’ candidates should win without sabotage by any member of BN who are not happy with the choice of candidates or collaborating with the opposition, he said.

DorianG said...

Faisyal is also confident that BN will win the three state constituencies under P172 Kota Kinabalu if all BN component parties maintain unity and cooperation in facing the general election.
