Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has emphasised the importance for all Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) members to give total support to any candidate picked by the top leadership for the coming 13th General Election.

This is because the struggle in BN is a party struggle and not an individual one, especially in ensuring the coalition wins all State and parliamentary seats, including wresting all seats that were lost to opposition candidates, he said.

Musa is optimistic that Sabah BN is capable of winning all seats in the State in the coming election, including two seats - Sri Tanjung State seat and Kota Kinabalu parliamentary seat - now held by the opposition.

He said this to reporters after officiating at a briefing for Zone 6 (Tawau parliamentary seat, Kalabakan, Semporna and Silam) at a hotel in Tawau.

Musa said the programme was held to disseminate information on the contribution of the BN Government and the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, to the people.

ScottyDoesntKnow said...

The event was organised so that the people fully understand existing issues that were raised and played up by the opposition in social networks in the Internet through Facebook, twitter, portals and blogs.

The programme also provides a question and answer session with government officers which will also be held for other zones.

At the same time, Musa is positive that the people will not be easily influenced by irresponsible quarters as the BN government already has a good track record in governing the nation, realising promises and providing physical development.

On the recent exposure of three letters by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to the Israeli Prime Ministers, he said those letters proved the BN leadership is sincere and honest in defending the Government's stand on the issue.

"The exposure of those letters showed we are brave unlike the opposition that only knows how to manipulate the facts. It is also a good exposure so that the people can see for themselves and make their own judgment on who is lying.

He added that the people can make their own assessment on the leadership of BN. Also present were Sabah Umno Information Chief Datuk Sapawi Ahmad, Tawau Umno divisional head Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan, Kalabakan Umno Divisional head Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh and Umno leaders for Zone 6.
